November 2024: Commissioned by BBC Scotland to write and record a short children’s tale for Time for a Story.
October 2024: Royal Collection, Holyrood Palace: Performed a series of stories based on Abbey Strand.
August 2024: Shortlisted for the Kelpies Prize for Writing, with my middle-grade novel (as yet unpublished) Cally and the Cailleach.
October 2022: Wrote and performed Shapeshifters, tales of metamorphosis from Scotland and Ireland, with music from Emma Durkan, for a filmed performance for the Scottish International Storytelling festival, with funding from the Andy Hunter Bursary and Creative Edinburgh.
October 2021: Wrote and performed “Monster” a modern horror story, as part of The Scottish International Storytelling Festival’s Halloween event.
October 2020: Wrote and delivered filmed performance of a developed version of Corryvreckan – Inspiralled Tales with funding from Creative Scotland and SISF, in collaboration with Professor John Shaw of the School of Scottish Studies , and music from Emma Durkan.
October 2020: Delivered webinar on “How to Tell a Good Ghost Story” and then hosted Scotland’s Greatest Ghost Stories for the Scottish International Storytelling Festival’s Community Programme.
October 2019 : Wrote and performed Corryvreckan – Inspiralled Tales for the Scottish International Storytelling Festival.
October 2019 : Hosted Orwell’s son Richard Blair at the Scottish International Storytelling Festival.
December 2018 – August 2019: storytelling with vulnerable families, various locations, Edinburgh.
March 2018 : Developed and delivered a new two day course “Making Stories Resonate” for the Scottish Storytelling Centre.
January 2018: Storytelling on the theme of “Burns Unbound” – National Museum of Scotland.

July 2015: Wrote and performed full run of Eejits and Hissy Fits children’s show at the Scottish Storytelling Centre for Edinburgh Fringe.
July 2015: Wrote and performed full run of Frequently Asked Questions adult stand up show at the Scottish Storytelling Centre for Edinburgh Fringe.
April 2015 – ongoing: National Library of Scotland: storyteller for schools and community groups visiting the library, creating programmes to fit with temporary exhibitions.
May 2016: Voiceover for Glencairns Gander, a driving tour app.
April 2015: Keynote speaker – storytelling and comedy, as part of an industry and business marketing conference at the Scottish Storytelling Centre, commissioned by White Light Media.
March 2015: Returned as guest host of Jo Caulfield’s Speakeasy at the Scottish Storytelling Centre’s Netherbow theatre.
January 2015: Commissioned to write and perform stories of the Canongate, Edinburgh Up Close app for Edinburgh Council and Edinburgh Museums.

October 2014. Wrote and performed Witches Brew for the Scottish International Storytelling Festival.
September 2014: Urania, Berlin. Performed Selkie and Kelpie Tales as part of an evening of Scottish Culture.
July 2014: The National Trust. Ran workshops for National Trust guides on how to develop stories incorporating green initiatives.
May 2014: Returned as guest host of Jo Caulfield’s Speakeasy at the Scottish Storytelling Centre’s Netherbow theatre.

November 2013: Aberdeen Arts Across Learning. Commissioned to create workshops for primary school children linking to Scotland’s history.
October 2013: Scottish International Storytelling Festival. Devised and delivered The Darien Adventure, stories of Scotland’s journeys, performed at Gladstone’s Land in Edinburgh. Devised and delivered “Nelson’s Trafalgar”, performed at the Nelson Monument, Calton Hill, Edinburgh.
April 2013: Edinburgh Tradfest (Festival of Traditional Arts). Wrote and performed The Selkie Wife, three tales of the Sea, which was performed at The Netherbow Theatre.
March 2013: BlackBox Digital Media. Performed “He Will Get Double”, a sinister story I wrote, which was filmed as a promotional tool for the Scottish Storytelling Centre.
April 2012: Edinburgh International Festivals Education Department, Storyteller and writer assisting in delivery of writing workshops within Edinburgh Primary Schools to promote Edinburgh International Festivals performance programme.
January 2012 – Present: Scottish National Portrait Gallery. Appointed as a storyteller to perform sessions for families visiting the gallery.
March 2011: Royal Collection for Learning, Holyrood Palace. Researched, developed and piloted curriculum linked storytelling sessions for schools. Developed and delivered storytelling sessions for families. Provided training for the Royal Collection Learning Team in storytelling skills.
May 2010: City of Edinburgh Council, Canongate Museums. Developed and performed costumed storytelling sessions for families at The People’s Story Museum and the Museum of Edinburgh.
February 2010: Edinburgh World Heritage. Developed and delivered storytelling sessions at Gladstone’s Land, the Writer’s Museum, and the Museum of Edinburgh, for adult audiences.
